Who we are

girl

We are the UK’s leading charity dedicated exclusively to fighting Britain’s biggest childhood cancer.

Since 1988 we have been working towards finding a cure for childhood leukaemia. Leukaemia is the most common form of childhood cancer, accounting for almost a third of all cases.

In the past 20 years, we have grown from a small memorial charity to one of the leading children’s cancer charities in the country, raising over £12 million in 2006.

Our fundraising activities are many and varied. The generosity of our supporters allows us to fund world-class research into treatment and prevention and to support welfare programmes for leukaemic children and their families.

What we do

  • We fund high quality research aimed at developing treatments which are not only more effective but are also less debilitating and disruptive to children’s lives.
  • We are raising public awareness about issues of concern and seek to influence the development of policy to promote the best interests of children with leukaemia or at risk of leukaemia.
  • Even though we are making positive progress, there is still much work to be done and we need your help.

We don’t receive any government funding; we rely entirely on donations to continue our work saving young lives.
