The Ayliff Family

Less than a year ago Andrea Ayliff’s daughter Bethan was diagnosed with leukaemia aged just 4.

A few weeks prior to her diagnosis Bethan had been unwell with several infections and had lost interest in doing things she enjoyed, but her family were devastated to discover she had Acute Lymphoblastic Leukaemia (ALL) and would need 2 years of chemotherapy.

The first few weeks of treatment took their toil on Bethan as she lost her hair, found it hard to walk and started looking like a different child, but as soon as she went into remission the old Bethan started to re-appear. Bethan is now 5 and is a year into her treatment. She is making great progress and her family remain hopeful that she will be cured from this disease.
