As well as directly funding research, we play a key role in disseminating the results.
Information is shared by researchers around the world, enabling best progress to be made.
We have carried out reviews of the evidence for two childhood leukaemia theories.
We don’t know what causes some children to develop leukaemia, although there are many theories. We have carried out reviews of the evidence relating to two of the more controversial factors which have been linked to childhood leukaemia development:
We host and support conferences on both causes and treatments for childhood leukaemia
We run a bi-annual conference on the causes of childhood leukaemia to encourage scientists from around the world to share their findings and exchange views.
We also provide funding to support other scientific conferences on aspects of childhood leukaemia including both its causes and its treatment.
