PhD in Childhood Leukaemia in Great Britain: Trends in Incidence, Survival and Cure.

Award: Anjali Shah's PhD was paid for with income generated from an endowement of £500,000, given to CHILDREN with LEUKAEMIA.

Grant period: October 2001 to March 2005.

Dr Shah first presented her findings at our 2004 International Scientific Conference, providing the strongest evidence yet that childhood leukaemia has been on the increase, particularly in children under five.
