One Big Drop for charity!

Brave CHILDREN with LEUKAEMIA supporters abseil for our One Big Drop event - and raise over £20,000!

On Sunday 14 June some of our daring supporters abseiled at two of our three specially chosen venues: Earls Court in London and the tallest building in Reading, The Blade.

The day was a huge success, raising over £20,000 for the charity - with more still coming in.

Participants included the MP for Reading, Martin Salter, and Heart DJ, Robert Kenny.

Many supporters overcame their fear of heights, receiving well-deserved rounds of applause from friends and family when they finally reached the bottom.  One brave man abseiled in a mankini!

Participant, Sandy Saunders, recalls his moment:

"One of the scariest things I had ever done: tied to a rope and  asked to let go of the scaffold it was attached to only to findThe Reading teammyself suspended 110 meters above the ground!

The only way down was to abseil and, apart form the adrenaline, there was no rush so I was able to enjoy the stunning views of Reading.
Awesome - a fab day out for a great cause!"

We would like to thank all of our participants and supporters who kindly took part and helped raise this wonderful amount.
